What does MileMatrix cost?
Pricing is being finalised ahead of the App Store release. This page will be updated with the details before launch.
Which iPhones does it run on?
MileMatrix requires iOS 17 or later. It is an iPhone app and is not currently available for Android.
Why does it ask for motion and location access?
Automatic trip detection needs both to recognise that you have started driving and to record where the trip began and ended. If you decline, the app still works and you can enter trips yourself, but nothing will be logged automatically.
A trip was missed or recorded twice. Can I fix it?
Yes. Trips can be edited or deleted in the app, and you can add a trip manually if one was missed. Automatic detection depends on iOS motion data, so a very short drive or a phone left behind can occasionally be missed.
The receipt scan read a number wrong.
Every scanned value is shown for you to check before it is saved, so correct it there. Faded thermal paper and creased receipts are the usual cause. A flat receipt in good light scans best.
Can one vehicle use kilometres while another uses miles?
Yes. Distance and volume units are set per vehicle. You can run one vehicle in kilometres and litres and another in miles and US or Imperial gallons, which is the point if you drive across the border.
Do I have to connect Google Sheets?
No. Sync is optional. Without it, your records stay on your iPhone. With it, each vehicle gets its own spreadsheet in your Google account and receipt photos back up to your Drive.
How do I disconnect Google?
Disconnect the account in MileMatrix settings, and revoke the app's access in your Google account security settings. Files already written stay in your Google account until you delete them.
Will Siri log a fill-up without asking me?
No. A fill-up is a financial record, so MileMatrix reads the details back and waits for you to confirm before saving.
Can I use the reports for a tax claim?
The app produces a mileage and fuel log you can give to an accountant, and it can apply a per-distance rate to show a value. That figure is a calculation, not tax advice, and actual-expense claims can work out differently. Confirm the rules that apply where you file.
